Description: | Economics is relevant to almost every aspect of our lives. At its core, the Bachelor of Economics (BEcon) is the study of decision-making in the face of scarce resources and competing interests. Study the operation of economies, financial markets and government regulation through our Bachelor of Economics (BEcon). You’ll learn about how individuals make important life decisions and will gain a thorough understanding of how firms compete, set prices and optimize processes. You’ll discover how governments develop and administer policies to regulate trade, taxes or financial and environmental standards, and will develop a foundation in economic theory and modern techniques of data analysis that will allow you to carry out independent research projects.
Our location in the nation’s capital gives you unique access to a wide range of resources, including research facilities and libraries, a growing high-tech sector, as well as the departments and agencies of the federal government.
